snow dogs

November 21st, 2008

We had our first snow today. Thank goodness the kids boots and snowsuits from last year still fit or they would have been really upset that we couldn’t go out and play. The dogs LOVE the snow, especially Sebastian. He loves catching snowballs. 8 years old and look at the air he gets!

around the house

November 17th, 2008

Just a few shots of the kids playing around the house today. I am trying to get into cold weather mode, which means shooting indoors. First, Reese playing hide and seek. She likes to hide under the covers in my bed.

This photo was taken at 2000 ISO! Any photographers reading will get why I am excited about this!

family

November 16th, 2008

This family was a lot of fun. We met at a local lake and the boys were excited to get to feed the ducks at the end of the session.

leaves

November 14th, 2008

I haven’t posted in a few days, that’s so not like me. I haven’t even picked up my camera this week. It has been rainy and cold and I don’t want to take any picutres. I don’t like rain and cold.

I remembered these shots from last week that I never posted. All the leaves started falling off the trees in our yard. That’s one of the fun things about fall, playing in the leaves and we have a lot of them. One pile was as tall as Reese.

Finn wasn’t too sure about the leaves at first.

But then he saw Reese having fun and decided they weren’t so bad.

mom to be

November 10th, 2008

This was my second session on Saturday and it took place about a half mile down the road from my morning session (the family session from my previous post).  These two are about to become parents for the first time in about 5 weeks. I can’t wait to meet their little girl!

boys

November 8th, 2008

I photographed the most awesome family this morning. They are so much fun. We went to this gorgeous wooded area near their home for their photos. It was the perfect location and the boys were so good.

This was dad’s idea to have him jump off this rock to him. Luckily I caught this shot on the first try!

I was taking some pictures of mom and dad alone. I looked down and saw the boys doing this.  I love it!

christmas card out takes

November 7th, 2008

I have been trying for at least a month to get a good picture of my kids to use for our Christmas card. It has proven to be nearly impossible. I have taken well over 500 shots of them on at least 4 different occasions and I have gotten MAYBE 3 pictures of them together that I like. I get tons of cute ones of them alone, but all I want is that one perfect shot. They don’t even have to be smiling, I just want them both looking in my direction. Today we went out for attempt number 5 and finally I got one that I love. Here are a few shots from earlier in the week that didn’t make the cut for our card, but I still like them.dsc_1237ed.jpg
